Mac Miller Free Boston Concert

Posted on  by

Im visiting boston right now.was wondering if anyone around heard about the free mac concert tomorrow at city hall or town hall or some place??

Yes, Mac Miller might have only been legally allowed to drink in his home country for a single year, but he’s had one of the most comprehensive and prolific music careers of anyone from his generation. This might come from the fact that he might only be 22 years of age, but he’s been rapping since the age of fourteen, released his first mixtape (2007’s “But My Mackin’ Ain’t Easy”) at fifteen.

However, even before then music was a big part of his life. Miller was playing the guitar nonstop with the intention of being a singer/songwriter, but gave that up when people were, in the words of his friend Jimmy Mourton “people were hating on his voice.”

His latest album ' Blue Slide Park' was just released on November 8, 2011 by Rostrum Records. Though he is on his own now, he was once a part of 'The Ill Spoken' and also Beedie. Well. If you’re going to show up the haters, one way of doing that is having the first independently released debut album to hit number one on the billboard charts since 1995. So Miller did just thatm and his debut album, 2011’s “Blue Slide Park” sold 145’000 copies in its first week. Despite that, Miller still admirably considers himself an underground rapper.

2013 saw the release of his second effort “Watching Movies With The Sound Off”. A record made with the cream of young rap talent, like Tyler The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future, Action Bronson and Ab-Soul all making guest appearances.

Mac Miller is an alpha example of why it’s great to be a music fan today.IIn him and many others, we have talented, unique young artists with years of experience already under their belts, and they’re only going to get better with age. One to watch, for sure.

Original Post

20-year-old hip-hop prodigy Mac Miller has just added dates for a 2013 Australian tour, beginning February 20 in Sydney and making stops in Melbourne, Brisbane, & Perth. The tour will likely feature material from Miller’s EP Pink Slime and his album Watching Movies with the Sound Off, both of which Mac promised on Twitter to release by early 2013. Past tours have seen Mac on stage with rap mentor & fellow Pittsburgher Wiz Khalifa, as well as other up-and-coming artists like Kendrick Lamar & Schoolboy Q. He has also recently collaborated with mainstream producers and rappers like Pharrell, Cam’ron, and Gucci Mane.

Since signing to the Rostrum label in 2010 (at age 18), Mac has had a prolific career; he’s already released seven mixtapes, EPs, & albums and has the previously mentioned Pink Slime, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, and another mixtape with DJ Jazzy Jeff called 92 Til Infinity all slated for 2013 release. If the commercial success of his most recent albums & EPs are any indication, then it’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing Miller’s name near the tops of many 2013 charts, which will make his Australia concert tickets an especially hot commodity. Check out the tour dates below.
